A GOLDEN couple celebrated a marriage milestone with family and friends to mark 50 years of wedded bliss.
Retired builder Ron Blunt, aged 75, and his wife Heather, aged 70, marked their anniversary with 50 well-wishers by hosting a party at the Talbot Hotel, Stourbridge, after reaching their half century on Saturday May 24.
Ron and Heather, who have two children and four grandchildren, were married at Quarry Bank Parish Church after meeting at the Wagon and Horses pub in Wall Heath.
The couple, from Lea Vale Road, Norton, have lived in a house built by Ron for 42 years and say trust and being there for each other are important qualities in a long and happy marriage.
The active couple are keen travellers who have spent many holidays abroad while Ron, a life-long Aston Villa Football Club supporter, still uses his expertise to help family members with building projects.
