TWO teenagers suffered serious injuries after a car crashed into a wall and landed on its side in a garden in Romsley near Halesowen at the weekend.
The incident, involving two cars, happened on Bromsgrove Road at 11.42am on Saturday October 1.
Two young men in their late teens, who were passengers in one of the vehicles, were taken to the region’s trauma hospital with “potentially serious injuries” – while two other casualties were discharged at the scene.
Police, firefighters and West Midlands Ambulance Service were alerted to the incident and a spokesperson for the ambulance service said: “We were called to reports of a two-car RTC on Bromsgrove Road at 11.42am on Saturday and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance Critical Care Car to the scene. On arrival we discovered four patients.
“Two males in their late teens, who were passengers, were treated for potentially serious injuries before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.
“Two further patients were assessed and discharged at the scene.”
A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service confirmed fire crews from Bromsgrove and Droitwich were called at 11.44am and helped to make the vehicles safe after one car landed on its side in a hedge in a residential garden.
West Mercia Police are believed to be investigating but have not yet commented on the incident.
