DUE to the sad loss of our secretary shipmate Murray Rutherford, shipmate Dave Weaver has been recycled after 10 years to fill the post once more. Firstly the aims of the Royal Naval Association are Unity, Loyalty. Patriotism and Comradeship.
The Royal Naval Association Stourbridge has been anchored in the large room above the Royal British Legion club in Enville Street for over 30 years.
We share this room with other military Associations.
Within the room are 10 model warships, the largest being HMS Hood. (she is 84'' long) They are all framed under glass as is our collection of 661 ship's cap tallies. We believe that this is the largest collection in the UK. We also have 60 ship's plaques and 6 full size figures displaying different naval personnel or their dependent in the local area. This is administered by our welfare committee.
Our Mess night is the first Friday in each month at 20.30 hrs
All ex or serving members of RN, RM, WRENS, Q.A.R.N.S. RFA'S and RNXS, in fact anyone interested in the RNA would be sure of a warm welcome
