There was reason to celebrate at Rob Locks Academy after nine-year-old Ross Pritchard was awarded his senior Black Belt grade in Sankukai Karate.

Chief Instructor Rob Lock said: "Ross has trained at the Academy since the age of three, he demonstrated a very high standard in the kata's , self defence techniques, punching and kicking against pads and overall fitness.

"It is truly amazing and very rewarding to see the dedication and determination from a young student.

"He is an excellent role model to his peers. Well done Ross."
