A CHAMPION ballroom dancing couple from Wordsley have been left distraught after their prized medals were stolen during a burglary.
Christine and Kevin Millward were asleep at their High Street home when the raid happened on Monday ??
Three laptops, a digital camera and a WII console and games were taken - but they were devastated to discover six bronze medals, awarded for their success in the World Senior Ballroom and Latin American Championships, were also pinched.
The couple, who teach dance at Brierley Hill Civic Hall, won the trophies in New Zealand in 1999, Amsterdam in 2000 and Belgium in 2002.
Christine told the News: "They're like Olympic medals, they're not something we can replace. They're priceless to us."
She said the offender or offenders got in through the kitchen window during the night while they and two of their three children were at home asleep.
Christine's dance shoes were also taken - but she later found them in the churchyard of Holy Trinity Church next door.
She believes the items were carted off in a black bag with a gold logo saying Choice of London - which is also missing.
It is the sixth time the Millwards have been burgled, but dance teacher Christine said she hasn't reported the latest crime to police - instead the couple are concentrating on stepping-up their own security, installing cameras and building a high wall in front of their property.
