FIREFIGHTERS have attended a flat fire in Dudley caused by smoking materials last night.
The fire started at 9.18pm on Saturday May 31, at Wellington Road, Dudley.
Crews from Dudley, Wolverhampton and Tipton were in attendance, but on arrival discovered an elderly man had already distinguished the fire.
The man was treated for smoke inhalation the scene.
West Midlands Fire Service would like to take this opportunity to advise smokers to make sure smoking materials including ashtrays are placed into suitable bins at night.
