Confidence is sky high again at Himley Cricket Club following two impressive wins in the space of 24 hours.
The Stourbridge Road side were sitting bottom of the Birmingham and District Premier League table but a crushing seven - wicket home win over West Bromwich Dartmouth on Saturday moved them up three places.
Bowling first, the hosts dismissed Dartmouth for just 94.
Stuart Wedge produced a lively opening spell to finish with figures of 3-25 while overseas star TP Singh replaced him to claim figures of 5-20.
Singh was also on song with bat as he hit an unbeaten 49 to steer his side home to their first win in the league this season.
Captain, Greg Wright, was delighted with the players' response following some harsh words the week before after a disappointing defeat away at Leamington He said: "It was an excellent performance by us and the players responded to what we had to say last week in the positive way we expected.
"The guys are starting to play and show the commitment, belief and quality that they should have.
"It was important to get that first win under our belts and it now gives us something to build on."
The confidence picked up from Saturday's display was then carried into Sunday's National Knockout encounter away at Wolverhampton.
Batting first the visitors made 200 with Dan Bassett top scoring with 65.
In a tight run chase Himley held off the challenge of the hosts to record a 15-run triumph.
Dave Willis was the pick of the bowlers after he claimed tremendous figures of 5-27.
Himley will now be hoping to take this re-found form with them this Saturday when they travel to league leaders Barnt Green, under the leadership of former England and Warwickshire star Dougie Brown.
Wright added: "We will go into the game as second favourites but we will go there with some new found confidence and if we play to our best we will always back ourselves to get a result.
"We could certainly do with a result because the win over West Bromwich Dartmouth pulled us clear of the relegation zone and the last thing we want is to be dragged back down there."
Wright will be waiting to find out on the availability of Worcestershire fast bowler Chris Whelan before naming his side.
