YELTZ manager Morell Maison has continued his summer shopping spree with his second close season signing and is confident at least three other deals are nearing completion.
Hot on the heels of Mark Danks' arrival from Worcester City, Halesowen Town have snapped up lively left-winger Aaron Cornwall from BGB Premier Division rivals Chippenham Town.
The 20-year-old played against Halesowen in the play-off semi-final last season and impressed the manager enough for him to bring the youngster to the Grove.
The exciting wide man is a player assistant manager Darren Caskey will also remember well from last season.
The Yeltz skipper was head-butted when the two sides met last November and the new man received his marching orders for the offence.
Cornwall is a player with undoubted talent but his career to date has been dogged by his fiery temperament.
However Maison is confident he will be able to get the very best out of his new acquisition.
Maison said: "He's a player who has impressed me whenever I have seen him in action.
"Last season we brought in two or three left-sided players and we tried to get them to be the player Aaron is.
"He is a very effective player with undoubted ability.
"He's dynamic and athletic as well as having that great ability of being a wide player who scores goals and I'm sure he will only improve with us.
"In the past he's had the odd problem but it's nothing I haven't dealt with before and it doesn't concern me.
"I think it shows how serious he is about this move that he's currently looking to move to the area rather than commute.
"I think next season will be an exciting season for both him and us."
Maison also confirmed he was closing in on at least three more signings.
The players in question are believed to be a left back, centre half and striker.
Contract talks with midfielder Jay Denny are also believed to be at an advanced stage.
