It was another good night of cycling in the Friday Night Track League at the Manor Abbey Stadium in Halesowen.
In the youth eight lap Course De Prime race, new arrival to Halesowen Athletics and Cycling Club, Tom Canning, dominated the race gaining seven points.
The Senior B category riders started their programme with a eight lap scratch race.
It began at a steady pace with new rider, Jess Wiekowski showing good form in the early part of the race. The race gained pace and finished with a close sprint, which was taken by Stourbridge CC rider, Kevin Payton, with Halesowen rider Doug Pinkerton coming in a close second and Wiekowski managing third.
The Senior A Cat riders had a 10-lap scratch race to start their evening of racing, competition was fierce amongst some top riders, a close finish was expected, and the crowd were not disappointed.

The younger riders got underway with the freewheelers B two-lap block handicap race, as normal the race was a well contested affair with Amy Crumpton, Thomas Biddle and Josef Feiven, all from Halesowen taking the first three places respectively.
Event five saw the freewheelers A riders compete in a two-lap block handicap race. Halesowen riders did not have this race all their own way, with Holly Page, from Worcester St Johns finishing first ahead of the club's Madeleine Rolinson.
Canning had a very successful evening, winning all his events in the youth category.
