DETAILED plans have been submitted for a development of 26 homes in Hagley.
Applicant, Billingham and Kite have lodged plans to build the small estate on land to the rear of Algoa House on Western Road.
The full planning application has been years in the making after outline plans were first submitted and approved in 2014 but planning permission was never issued due to delays finalising a financial agreement relating to highways matters.
The outline application then went before Bromsgrove’s planning committee again in 2020 and planning permission was granted.
Now, a detailed application has been put forward to secure full planning permission.
The development is set to include a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties with 10 affordable homes.
The layout of the site will feature a cul-de-sac from Western Road with housing either side.
A pedestrian and cycle route is also proposed to merge with the existing route through the Wychbury Fields estate connecting to Hagley Centre.
As part of the conditions attached to the previous outline permission, all trees on the development must be retained and there must be an open space provision.
A financial agreement has been drawn up ensuring the applicant pays a substantial amount of money
This includes £25,534 to Worcestershire County Council for active travel and public transport in Hagley, £10,173 to Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust for planned healthcare services and significant contributions to Hagley Primary School and Haybridge High School.
