A BRIERLEY Hill man has been banned from driving for six months and hit with a court bill of £249 after admitting driving while disqualified and without insurance.
Waseem Wahab, of Rookery Park, pleaded guilty to both offences which occurred in Tiled House Lane, Pensnett, on September 19, 2022.
The 40-year-old was handed a community order with a rehabilitation activity requirement to carry out unpaid work for 120 hours within the next 12 months.
He was also banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay a £114 surcharge to fund victim services plus £135 in costs to the Crown Prosecution Service when sentenced at Dudley Magistrates’ Court on Monday February 6.
His driving record was also endorsed.
The court was told disqualification was obligatory for the offence.
