A VAN that brings back memories of a classic 1980s TV show is to go to auction in Stourbridge this week.
A mini A-Team inspired van is to be auctioned off by Fieldings Auctioneers at the auction house’s ‘Antiques and Interiors with Back to the Future 1960s to modern day cool and retro’ sale.
Comprising 1,223 lots, the sale will be held over two days on Thursday and Friday (February 16 and 17), with the van set to go under the hammer on Friday.
The iconic looking van is a Suzuki Carry 1.3 (2005 reg) which has been modified to resemble the legendary A-Team transit van featured in the hit 80s show that made Mr T a household name.
The vehicle, which comes with cruise control and the reg plate BA05 VAN, has been customised professionally by companies in the Black Country and it has been valued at £6,000-£8,000.
It has been used for camping, car shows, charity events and deliveries and is described by its owner, who runs a retro shop, as “one of the best condition Suzuki Carry vans around”.

Kayleigh Davies, an expert in retro items at Fieldings Auctioneers, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to offer the mini A-Team van for sale.
"It’s clearly a labour of love for the vendor, and we hope the bidders will love its quirky charm as much as we do.
"It’s become quite the sight around the streets of the Black Country, and we’re enjoying having it in our saleroom for a little while.”
The sale, which starts at 9.30am both days, also includes a host of 1980s and 90s movies on VHS tapes.
Kayleigh said: “I think VHS tapes are an interesting market, and one we’re about to see take off.
“We’re interested to see what happens on sale day with the tapes we’ve included.”
Items can be viewed ahead of the auction. See https://fieldingsauctioneers.co.uk for times.
