A 46-YEAR-OLD man has been hit with a court bill for £245 after pleading guilty to speeding on Thorns Road, Quarry Bank.

Richard Gathua, of Southall Drive, Hartlebury, Kidderminster, was clocked exceeding the 30mph limit on the dual carriageway on May 31, 2022.

Court documents state the vehicle had been going at around 38mph on the busy dual carriageway.

Mr Gathua was fined £107 and ordered to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £43 and costs of £95 when sentenced at Dudley Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday March 29.

His driving record was also endorsed with three penalty points.
