TRAFFIC bosses have warned of congestion in the Quarry Bank/Cradley area due to road works.
Dudley Council’s traffic department has warned motorists of multiple traffic signals in operation on Cradley Forge and Maypole Hill today (Thursday April 20).
Drivers are advised to find alternative routes if possible.
Network manager Andrew Sumner said: “Planned works are taking place outside the Wagon and Horses public house and are operating under manually controlled signals with an estimated end date of today.
“However, an immediate job is being commenced on Maypole Hill at the junction of Netherend Lane to address a water leak under multi-way signals.
The works promoter has been told they will need to manually control these signals due to the disruption with other works in proximity. However, significant congestion in this area is likely whilst both works are in progress.”
