Madam,
I am disgusted by the proposals to close ticket offices across the rail network.
Once again we have the train operating companies putting profit above the needs of the public.
Public transport is there for the benefit of the travelling public, its not there as a cash cow for private companies.
This current campaign of cuts once again shows why our public transport network should be renationalised and taken out of the hands of private companies looking to boost their profits at the expense of the general public.
Lots of travellers will be severely inconvenienced by these proposals, it will make travelling across the rail network more difficult and less safe for the travelling public.
The Train Companies are trying to run a rail network on the cheap, which benefits no one but themselves.
As always it’s workers at the bottom of the foodchain who have to suffer!
Gavin
