TEMPORARY traffic signals have put in place on a Stourbridge road while work takes place to fix a water leak.
Severn Trent Water has issued an “immediate” permit for works on the A491 Hagley Road, approximately 50m south of the junction with Wychbold Court.
Dudley Council said the works are scheduled to be completed on Friday (September 8) and warned motorists there could be congestion on the busy dual carriageway.
A spokesman said: "Two-way signals are in operation whilst these works are being undertaken, and Severn Trent have been requested to use manual control or auto-green signals between the hours of 7am and 7pm to ease congestion on this highway.
"Due to the nature of the traffic management and the traffic sensitive/ strategic nature of this highway, congestion in this area is extremely likely and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes where possible."
