A DAY of celebration marked the 90th anniversary of the Kingswinford Royal British Legion branch.
The event, on September 10, started with a parade of RBL standard bearers and included a small service of thanks.
An afternoon tea was also hosted by the legion which saw Bob Townsend presented with a life membership award for his work with the Poppy Appeal.
Entertainment on the evening was arranged by George Fox and saw Vicky Elise entertaining visitors and guests.
Organiser Sue Grainger thanked all those who attended and she said: “The 90th anniversary of Kingswinford Royal British Legion has been a celebration through music.
“It was a huge success – not only supported by the local community but it brought together organisations that have supported the branch.”
Dudley South MP Mike Wood said: “It really has been such an honour to join members of Kingswinford Royal British Legion and all who attended to mark the 90th anniversary of Kingswinford’s Royal British Legion branch.”
