BRIDGNORTH Road in Wollaston will be closed to traffic until 6pm this evening while potentially dangerous trees are removed.
Dudley Council’s highways department has issued a temporary road closure notice for Bridgnorth Road between Wollaston Court and the junction of Wollaston Road (B4537).
The restriction was set to be in place from 12.30pm until 6pm this evening (Thursday November 2).
Traffic will be diverted via Wollaston High Street, Vicarage Road (B4537), Wollaston Road (B4537) and vice versa.
The road closure has been ordered to enable workmen to safely remove hazardous trees that have been reported.
Councillor Damian Corfield, Dudley Council's cabinet member for highways and environmental services, said: “We have identified two hazardous trees in this location and while one sits outside the borough boundary and both are on private land, we have arranged for both trees to be made safe today for the safety of all road users.”
