THE winners of the highly anticipated Dudley Community Awards 2023 have been revealed.
These pictures were taken by Miriam Cunliffe on the evening.
The awards, being held for the first time, are organised by the Stourbridge News, Halesowen & Dudley News in conjunction with the University of Worcester.
The winners were revealed in a glistening ceremony at the Copthorne Hotel in Brierley Hill.
There were three finalists in each of the 12 categories with the overall winner of the evening being Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer.
The winners were:
- Young Person of the Year: Luke Collins from Team Pumpkin Boxing
- Environmental Project of the Year: Dudley Canal and Tunnels Trust
- Diversity in the Community: Tina Boothroyd from Access in Dudley
- Best Community Project or Group: Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer
- Trader of the Year: Broadmark Doors
- Best Customer Service: Esther Alterations
- Best Establishment or Bar: Il Michelangelos
- New Business of the Year: Meadow View Mutts Secure Dog Field
- Business of the Year: Dudley Canal and Tunnels Trust
- Outstanding commitment to Dudley: Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer
- Best Volunteer or Fundraiser of the Year: Sally Philpotts from The Mary Steven’s Hospice
- Teacher of the Year: Ross Nicholls from Halesowen College
- Best Sports Team or Club of the Year: Team Pumpkin Boxing
