STOURBRIDGE MP Suzanne Webb has praised the winners and participants of a charity Christmas tree competition at St Thomas' Church, Stourbridge.
The event, organised by Emma Leek to raise funds for Brierley Hill Baby Bank, featured trees decorated by 29 organisations, charities, churches, schools and companies.
Suzanne decided the “brilliant tree” by Happy Patchers was the winner, followed by a tree submitted by St Thomas’ Eco Church; while entries by PD Paladins and Living Well with Parkinsons came joint third.
The MP said: “It was difficult to pick a winner because the standard was so high.
“This was a great event on behalf of a good cause and I would like to thank everyone who organised it.”
Rev Andrew Sillis said: “We were delighted to welcome Suzanne to open our Christmas Tree Festival.
“Suzanne had the tough job of choosing the best of the 29 trees. Each tree represents a different organisation and their unique contribution to our community.”
