MERRY Hill has submitted an application for the shopping centre and its outdoor car parks to be licensed for events and entertainment.
Mall bosses have applied to Dudley Council for a premises licence valid from 9am to midnight – Monday to Sunday.
The application calls for the licence for events such as indoor and outdoor theatre and dance performances, exhibition of films, indoor sporting events, music performances and entertainment such as Christmas events.
It says hours requested cover opening times of new restaurants and leisure facilities and it adds: “However, it is most likely events will occur inside of standard centre opening times which are Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm, Saturdays 9am to 7pm, Sundays 11am to 5pm.”
The application can be inspected on the council website or by contacting Dudley Council’s licensing department.
Representations can be made in writing by Tuesday December 26 to the interim director of public realm, licensing services, Unit 1 Hurst Business Park, Narrowboat Way, Brierley Hill, DY5 1UF.
