A BLACK Country home care company has been declared a 5-star employer by its own employees.
Staff at Home Instead Stourbridge, Hagley and Halesowen have commended the company for its training opportunities and supportive leadership.
All employees were invited to take part in an anonymous survey by independent employee engagement experts WorkBuzz.
The firm, which provides care to people in need in their own homes, received an employee engagement score of 90, something few companies achieve - according to the experts.
Steven Frost, CEO at WorkBuzz, said: “The 5 Star programme is based on confidential employee feedback to identify organisations where employees are proud to work there, feel motivated to do their best work, and would recommend it as a great place to work – all signs of a great culture.
“The award demonstrates Home Instead’s commitment to creating an environment which improves their employees working lives and enables them to thrive.”
The results revealed 96 per cent of care professionals said they understood why Home Instead differs from other care companies, and 94 per cent said they had access to training needed to do their job well.
Care clients were also surveyed, with 84 per cent saying they would be very likely to recommend Home Instead, and 16 per cent saying they would likely recommend.
In addition, 100 per cent of clients praised the company as having an excellent understanding of their care needs.
Home Instead owner Peter Bath said: “I am so pleased we have been recognised as a 5-star employer. We are always on the lookout for caring people; people we would be happy to have caring for our own loved ones. We know that if we find great people and give them all the support they need, that is the only way to build a strong team that can deliver exceptional home care services.”
Home Instead is currently looking to fill 10 care professional vacancies to meet increased demand from new clients.
