A PEDESTRIAN was taken to hospital after being hit by a car near the Merry Hill shopping centre.
The man was hit by a car at the junction of Pedmore Road and Hurst Lane just after 9.30pm yesterday (Monday February 5).
Police closed the main road while paramedics treated the man at the scene before he was taken to Russells Hall Hospital.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance said: "We were called to reports of an RTC at the junction of Pedmore Road and Hurst Lane in Brierley Hill just after 9.30pm.
"An ambulance was sent to the scene where, on arrival, crews discovered a car and a pedestrian had been involved in a collision.
"The pedestrian, a man, was treated for injuries not believed to be serious and taken to Russells Hall Hospital for further treatment."
