THE Met Office has warned of a risk of thunderstorms later this afternoon (Monday May 6).
Forecasters have issued a yellow warning of thunderstorms for the West Midlands from around 4pm.
The forecast for this afternoon reads: “Rather cloudy but with some bright or sunny spells, particularly by the afternoon, though in-between scattered showers. These locally heavy with a risk of thunder. Feeling warm in the sun. Maximum temperature 18 °C.”
Showers are expected to ease this evening leaving a dry night with clear spells. It will stay mild but will feel chillier under prolonged clear spells, with some mist and fog developing, with a low of 8 °C.
Tomorrow will be a fine and dry with some warm sunshine, with the odd shower possible in the afternoon but fewer than today and a maximum temperature 19°C.
The outlook for the rest of the week is dry and settled with plenty of warm sunshine and light winds.
