STOURBRIDGE MP Suzanne Webb has said receiving her OBE from the Prince of Wales has been a day to remember for herself and her family.

Suzanne took her mother and two brothers to the investiture at Windsor Castle on Wednesday (May 22).

She was awarded the honour for her work as MP for Stourbridge and her role as her Parliamentary Private Secretary.

The Conservative MP said: "It was a wonderful day and one I will always remember.

“I had a really kind conversation with His Royal Highness about family when I went up to receive my OBE.

“Having my mum and brothers there was very emotional especially because my father was unable to come as he is very poorly and in respite.

“Lots of pictures were taken so he could see what happened and our thoughts were with him throughout the day and we raised a glass to him.

“As I said at the time, the award was a total shock and I am humbled and proud to be given it.”
