DUDLEY'S highways bosses have this morning issued an official road closure notice for a main route through Wollaston due to a water leak.
Transport and highways services have said the busy Bridgnorth Road will be closed to traffic until Thursday May 30 while work takes place to repair a water pipe.
The restriction is from outside 103 to 62 Bridgnorth Road.
Traffic will be diverted via: Meriden Avenue, Bridle Road, Bridgsnorth Road and vice versa until the work is complete.
Highways chiefs said the "restriction is required to safely facilitate a water pipe repair".
A spokesperson for Severn Trent said: “We have a team on site on Bridgnorth Road, working to resolve a supply issue to a customer’s property.
"We know that roadworks can be frustrating and we would like to apologise for any inconvenience while we complete this repair.”
