A GANG of masked men armed with a metal bar threatened a woman at a Stourton home before fleeing with expensive designer watches and handbags and £1.5k cash.

The terrifying robbery happened at a property just off the A449 Prestwood Road just before 1am on Friday, June 14.

A woman in her 40s who was threatened was left shaken by the incident but thankfully wasn't injured.

The balaclava-clad men broke into the Stourton property armed with a metal bar and stole six designer watches, handbags, a mobile phone, and approximately £1,500 cash.

Staffordshire Police have been carrying out door-to-door enquiries in a bid to track down the gang.

A spokesperson for the force said: "Detectives are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary in Stourton.

"We were called to reports of four men wearing balaclavas breaking into a home, off the A449 Prestwood Road, just before 1am on Friday.

"After threatening the occupant with a metal bar, the men left the property with six designer watches, handbags, a mobile phone, and approximately £1,500 cash.

"We are reviewing CCTV footage of the area at the time of the incident and carrying out house-to-house inquiries.

"The victim, a woman in her 40s, has been left shaken by her ordeal but was thankfully not injured.

"We are keen to hear from anyone who can help us trace those responsible."
