CALLS have been made to put the brakes on speeding motorists after a man was hurt in a Stourbridge crash.
Emergency services were called to a two-car crash on Wollescote Road at around 4.15pm yesterday (Tuesday June 18), with a man treated at the scene by paramedics.
One car left the road, crossed the pavement and ended up in bushes at the side of the road.
The incident has prompted Liberal Democrat councillor Kash Khan to highlight an issue with speeding on the 30mph stretch of road.
Cllr Khan, who took pictures of the aftermath of the accident, said: "Luckily no one was seriously hurt, but there is speeding issue on this long stretch of Wollescote Road and other parts of Wollescote.
"I will be requesting Speed Watches across Wollescote soon to tackle this issue".
Police, firefighters and medics were called to the crash which caused congestion.
One ambulance attended with paramedics treating a man at the scene for minor injuries.
A spokesman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of a two-car RTC on Wollescote Road at 4.15pm, one ambulance attended the scene.
"On arrival we discovered one patient, a man, who was treated for minor injuries and discharged at the scene."
