NEW food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two Brierley Hill eateries, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows.
Khatri's, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 133 Brettell Lane, Brierley Hill, was handed a four-out-of-five rating after assessment on June 6.
And Gourmet Peri Peri Chicken T/A After 5 Desserts, a restaurant, cafe or canteen at 152 High Street, Brierley Hill, was given a score of two on June 6.
It means that of Dudley's 327 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 213 (65 per cent) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
Ratings are published on the Food Standards Agency’s website which rates businesses from zero to five so customers can make more informed choices about where to buy and eat food.
A rating of five means hygiene standards are very good, four means hygiene standards are good, three means hygiene standards are generally satisfactory, two means some improvement is necessary, a rating of one means major improvement is necessary and a rating of zero means urgent improvement is required.
People can see the results of all food hygiene inspections via Dudley Council’s website or on the national ratings.food.gov.uk website.
