West Midlands Police have more than 150 suspects in their cells today.

The police said the offences include burglary, robbery and driving offences. 

At Perry Barr, officers said they have 48 detainees including a teenager who is being held over a robbery where an electric scooter was taken. 

There are also six people being held on suspicion of theft from shops in the area and a 40-year-old man being held on suspicion of burglary. 

At Oldbury, there are 43 detainees including a man in his 30s who was arrested by officers after they stopped a vehicle that was seen leaving the scene of a burglary. 

Stechford has 15 people in the cells including an 18-year-old arrested this morning (Sunday, July 21). 

At Bloxwich, there are 15 people in the cells including a man arrested on suspicion of driving offences after a car was seen driving at excess speed in Great Barr. 

Officers said an open bottle of alcohol was also recovered from the car. 

In Coventry, there are 21 suspects and in Wolverhampton there are 14 suspects being held. 

This includes people arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, assault and indecent assault.
