THE police helicopter was out in Stourbridge last night circling over Norton and Wollaston.

The helicopter was helping police search for a missing man in his 20s.

It was called out at around 10.22pm on Monday July 22.

Thankfully the man was found safe in the early hours.

A spokesperson for the National Police Air Service said: "A police helicopter from NPAS Birmingham was deployed at 10.22pm on Monday July 22 to assist West Midlands Police in the search for a missing person in the Stourbridge area.

"The aircraft flew for one hour before refuelling and returning to the location to search for a further 38 minutes."

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: “We were called to a report that a man in his 20s was missing in the Dudley area last night.

“Officers attended and carried out a search with support from the police helicopter, and the man was safely located in the early hours of today.”
