KINGSWINFORD and South Staffordshire’s newly elected MP Mike Wood has confirmed dates for his inaugural ‘Summer Tour’ of pop-up surgeries across the new constituency.
Mr Wood, who held a summer tour each year when representing the old Dudley South seat, has pledged to keep up the tradition across his new patch, particularly to give new constituents he hasn’t previously represented the opportunity to meet with him and raise any issues.
There will be 14 separate mobile surgeries across the constituency giving residents across all of Kingswinford and South Staffordshire an opportunity to meet their MP at a location not too far from home.
The first mobile surgery will be at 10am on Monday August 5 near the Maypole on Windmill Bank in Wombourne, after which Mr Wood will move around the constituency throughout the following week visiting other community locations, villages and town centres.
Mike Wood MP said: “With the general election over and Parliament in recess, I’m really looking forward to getting out and about across Kingswinford and South Staffordshire to hear people’s views, catchup with local businesses and introduce myself to the thousands of residents for who I am their new MP.
“I hope as many people as possible are able to pop along, share their thoughts or ask for advice on any problems I may be able to help with.”
