A NEW haven for fitness fans and bodybuilders is set to open in Stourbridge this weekend.
Foundry Gym has invested around £500,000 transforming the former Pump Gyms unit in the Ryemarket Shopping Centre into a new state-of-the-art facility that aims to be a ‘gym for everybody’.
The 12,000sq ft first floor unit has been given a complete makeover and kitted out with an array of weight training equipment, free weights, cardio equipment – even a boxing ring and MMA octagon cage.
Director Navjoth Singh said: “Gyms are usually commercial or bodybuilding but we’re open for all members – no matter their age, body size, ethnicity et. It’s a gym for everybody.
“We’ve got top of the range equipment from the USA, the home of bodybuilding, and we’re open 24/7.”
More than 300 people have already signed up as members of the new gym, the 12th Foundry Gym location, which is set to open its doors on Saturday August 3.
Navjoth added: “I’m so excited. I can’t wait for people to come and see it.”
Aaron Powell, centre manager at the Ryemarket Shopping Centre, said: “We’re proud to welcome Foundry Gym to Stourbridge.
“The space formerly occupied by Pump Gyms has been totally transformed and now features an extensive range of Hammer Strength equipment, a state-of-the-art cardio suite, boxing rings and an in-gym supplement shop.
“We look forward to attending the launch event on Saturday August 3 at 10am.”
