AN author whose books about the Titanic present shocking alternative theories about the most famous maritime disaster is to give a talk in Stourbridge.
John Hamer, author of the books RMS Olympic and Titanic's last Secret, will be presenting a talk, A Titanic Deception, at The Talbot Hotel, in Stourbridge High Street on Monday August 12.
The event, which starts at 7.30pm, is hosted by The Free Thinking Society which organises monthly talks at the historic venue.
Hamer’s books, published in 2013 and 2014, have fascinated Titanic enthusiasts with theories that suggest the ill-fated liner that sank to the bottom of the north Atlantic in April 1912 may not have been RMS Titanic but her ‘sister’ ship The Olympic.
Hamer spent most of his working life IT but since fleeing the corporate world he has been a full-time professional geopolitical researcher, analyst, public speaker and author.
The Stourbridge talk will take place in the Windsor Suite at The Talbot. Doors open at 7pm and admission is £5 each.
