BARGAIN hunters were entertained with a gameshow style event with vouchers and prize giveaways while a balloon modeller entertained little ones when a new discount store opened its doors at Merry Hill.
The team from the Black Country Foodbank were given a one-minute trolley dash to grab as many items as possible, bagging an impressive 107 items, within the new Maxi Deals flagship store which was officially opened on Thursday September 26.
Maxi Deals director Paul Mathers said: “It’s been a phenomenal opening with the warmest Black Country response. We make a point of carrying out price comparisons every single day to ensure we are offering competitive prices.
“We are focusing on bringing the bargains back and passing on much needed savings to the consumer.
“We’re thrilled to have our latest store here at the beautiful Merry Hill centre and providing local jobs.”
The store is located at Unit L21b at Merry Hill shopping centre.
Jonathan Poole, centre manager at Merry Hill, said: “We’re pleased to see Maxi Deals open its doors at Merry Hill, giving our visitors even more selection for choice on everyday and seasonal items at unbeatable prices.
“The store joins a number of recent openings at the centre, and continues to build on our range of retailers as we continue to create a convenient place for our visitors’ shopping needs, all under one roof."
