A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after a crash with a lorry, which closed a busy road.
The motorbike and lorry crashed on Windmill Hill, Cradley, yesterday afternoon (Monday September 30) at around 3pm.
Medics treated the injured rider at the scene before taking him to Russells Hall Hospital.
The crash led to the closure of the road, with buses diverted.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called to reports of an RTC involving a motorcycle and a lorry on Windmill Hill, Halesowen at 2.58pm.
"An ambulance attended the scene to find the motorcyclist, a man, who had been injured in the collision.
"The ambulance crew assessed and treated the man before conveying him to Russells Hall Hospital for further checks."
NX West Midlands tweeted: "Due to an incident on Windmill Hill #Halesowen Service 9 will be diverting in both directions via: Colley Lane, Butchers Lane, Corngreaves Road, Belle Vale Apologies for any disruption to your journey."
