CCTV shows the shocking moment a car crashed into a wall sending chunks of rubble into an elderly Stourbridge couple’s home.
The incident happened on Grange Lane, Pedmore, in the early hours of Tuesday September 24.
Video footage shows a car careering into a wall at 00.52am, sending the remains flying through the front window and into the lounge of an unsuspecting elderly couple’s home.
The couple’s daughter, who did not wish to be named, said: “The car hit my parents wall in spectacular fashion resulting in the wall being demolished and a large part of the wall flying through their front window and into the lounge.
“The road was closed and all emergency services were in attendance. The car was destroyed.
“My parents are now having to go through the ropes of trying to rebuild parts of their property and potentially have to replace at least one of the cars.”
She added: “This road can be so dangerous at night. The speed cameras further down the road were taken out a few years ago also.”
Four people in the vehicle were taken to hospital but their injuries were not believed to be serious.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service said: “Shortly before 1.10am on Tuesday September 24, we responded to Grange Lane, Stourbridge.
“A fire engine from Stourbridge Fire Station responded, arriving within four minutes of being mobilised.
“Crews arrived to find a car had come into collision with a brick garden wall. Four occupants freed themselves from the vehicle. They are believed to have been conveyed to hospital for precautionary check-ups.
“The vehicle was made safe and we left the scene at 1.48am.”
West Midlands Ambulance Service said paramedics were alerted to the crash just before 1am.
A spokesperson said: “We were called at 00.53am on Tuesday September 24 to a road traffic collision involving one car on Grange Lane in Stourbridge.
“Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene. Upon arrival we found four occupants of the car. All four were assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious.
“Three patients received treatment at the scene. All four were conveyed to Russells Hall Hospital for further assessment.”
West Midlands Police said officers were alerted to the incident just before 1am on September 24.
A spokesperson added: "No-one was seriously injured.
