Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery was stolen from an antique shop in Stourbridge last month. 

South Staffordshire Police said they were called at around 6.15am on Saturday, September 7 following reports of a burglary at Halfpenny Antique Centre. 

Officers were told that about four suspects had got into the jewellery cabinet at around 1.40pm on Tuesday, September 3. 

A number of gold rings and earrings worth around £5,000 were stolen. 

We are appealing for information after £5,000-worth of jewellery was stolen from an antique shop in south Staffordshire.

We were called at 6.15am on Saturday 7 September to Halfpenny Antique Centre following reports of a burglary.

CCTV footage from the centre showed suspects pushing the cabinet and pocketing the jewellery.

"The suspects are described as Asian men, aged between 20 and 30, and they were between 5 and 6ft tall.

Another suspect is described as an Asian woman, aged around 50, and 5ft 4in tall.

A spokesperson for South Staffordshire Police said: "Officers were told that about four suspects had got into the jewellery cabinet at around 1.40pm on September 3.  

"A number of gold rings and earrings, worth about £5,000, were stolen.

"Our inquiries are continuing and we have released images of individuals we would like to speak to in connection with the theft.

"Anyone who recognises any of those pictured should contact us on 101 quoting incident number 178 of 7 September.
