A heavy police presence was reported in Brierley Hill after bones were discovered in a field.
West Midlands Police said they received a report at around 11.20am yesterday (Tuesday, October 8) that bones had been discovered on a field off Pheasant Street.
A large police presence and a blue tent was spotted in the playing fields by eyewitnesses.
Officers could not confirm the type of bones that were found but they have now confirmed that they are not human.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We received a report at around 11.20am yesterday that bones had been discovered on a field off Pheasant Street, Brierley Hill.
"It has been confirmed that the bones are not human remains.
"The scene has now closed."
