A BOY, aged 16, has been remanded in youth custody to await a crown court hearing after a stabbing in Brierley Hill.
The teenager was arrested after an 18-year-old man was found with stab wounds in High Street at around 6.30pm on Thursday (October 10).
The youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, appeared at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Saturday (October 12) charged with possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and wounding with intent.
He also appeared before magistrates on Wednesday morning (October 16) and was remanded into a youth detention facility to await an appearance at Wolverhampton Crown Court on November 13.
An 18-year-old woman arrested following initial enquiries has been bailed with conditions while the investigation continues.
The man who was stabbed was not believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.
West Midlands Police stepped up patrols in the area following the incident but confirmed they were not looking for anyone else.
