A Stourbridge-based courier company has secured a contract with a globally recognised classic car firm.

World Options franchise partner Ata Mohammed, who started his business in October 2019, will now assist Ludlow-based Tanc Barratt in shipping classic car parts to customers across the UK and worldwide.

The company restores and maintains classic Italian cars, particularly the Lancia Delta Integrale.

The company is also an official distributor of specialist spare parts for car enthusiasts worldwide.

A company director said: "At Tanc Barratt, we have been buying and restoring Lancia and other Italian cars for more than 30 years.

"What started as a hobby in my garage has grown into a performance centre for specialist Italian cars which is known globally."

They added: "Sending parts overseas has become much more complicated in the last few years – especially, it has to be said, post-Brexit.

"World Options provides us the perfect solution to ensure our shipments arrive at their destinations with the fastest turnaround, using the most appropriate carrier, with all paperwork sorted."

World Options, part of MBE Worldwide, is the largest retail group of franchised shipping services companies in the UK.

Mr Mohammed said: "We are incredibly pleased to be helping Tanc Barratt with their international shipments.

"When shipping items worldwide, it can be difficult for businesses to be sure they are using the best courier service for each shipment, especially when the optimum service can vary depending on each individual item and destination."

He added: "Crucially, we also assist with paperwork to help minimise the risk of delays with customs when shipping to different territories overseas, so we are proud to have won this contract with Tanc Barratt, which is a fantastic example of a company at the head of their field, making use of a worldwide market for their products and services."
