A MAN has been arrested and charged with driving while disqualified after police spotted a cloned van in Brierley Hill.

He ran off into woodland last night (Monday November 11), but was caught by officers.

Brierley Hill police posted on social media that they had made an arrest after spotting a cloned Luton van in the area.

The team said: "We followed the van to a dead end where the driver ran into woodland.

"We caught him nearby and arrested him on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle.

"Checks also showed he was a disqualified driver."

They added: "This male has now been charged with disqualified driving, fraudulent use of registration mark and driving without third-party insurance.

"He has been remanded in custody to appear at court."

They shared a picture of the van with plastic and tape covering a window area.
