THE organiser of the Stourbridge Military Vehicle Parade has said a big thank you to everyone in the town who supported the event and he’s already begun arranging the next one.

Crowds lined the streets on Saturday morning (November 9) for the annual parade – the biggest to date – which was organised as part of Remembrance commemorations.

Around 40 tanks, trucks and jeeps from all over the Midlands featured in the event, sponsored by Stourbridge Shuttle operator Pre Metro, which is held to raise awareness of the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal.

Led by The Shirley Pipe Band, the procession made its way down the High Street, Market Street and Bell Street before finishing up at The Bonded Warehouse in Canal Street where the vehicles were put on public display.

Organiser David Spruce, a military vehicle enthusiast, was delighted with the turn out in the town and the support shown for the event which is now in its third year.

He said: “I’d like to say thank you to everybody who came into the town on Saturday to support what was an amazing day.

“Also thank you to the traders in the town who all supported the day.

“I am now working on next year's and have already booked the Shirley Pipers and I will do it all again on Saturday November 8, 2025.”
