FILM crews behind the upcoming Peaky Blinders movie appear to have retuned to Dudley this week.
Eagle-eye fans snapped pictures of film crews and actors donning flat caps around Bumble Hole, Netherton this morning, November 20.
Crews from Oblik Productions Ltd, the production company behind the film title ‘The Immortal Man’, have descended on the Dudley Canal at Bumble Hole and Warrens Hall Nature Reserve this week, with signs appearing that say filming was taking place on November 19 and 20.
However, it is unknown if the unexpected snow that has fallen over the region has had an impact on their filming.
Despite the weather, a narrowboat with the recognisable “Thomas Coathupe & Sons Ltd – 1893” sign from the TV show was spotted, as well as production crews on dinghies.
Props were spotted including barrels and wagons, although adorned with snow.
This is the second time filming for the upcoming movie has been spotted in Netherton, with productions crews said to have been shooting nearby in October.
The Dudley Canal towpath between Cobb's End Bridge to Bullfield Bridge and Bumble Hole Bridge has been closed until Friday, November 22, with mooring also suspended in the area this week.
The details of the film have been kept under wraps so far but is expected to pick up the Shelby family’s fortunes a few years on from where the TV series left off, being set during the Second World War.
A release date for ‘The Immortal Man’ has not yet been announced.
