THE biggest Cadbury World shop to date has officially opened in Birmingham.
The new Cadbury World shop in the heart of Bournville will offer more Cadbury’s chocolate under one roof than anywhere else in the UK.
There will be 350 different Cadbury lines on offer, from the classic Dairy Milk to other beloved products such as Toblerone, Flake, Marvellous Creations and many more.
As well as the staples, the store will offer 50 limited edition Christmas ranges including chocolate Christmas trees and footballs, all handcrafted and decorated by the famous Cadbury World chocolatiers.
The very first Cadbury World store opened in the village 34 years ago, making Bournville synonymous with chocolate.
The first 200 visitors to the new store on November 21 were treated to a free bar of Cadbury’s Dairy Milk to mark the occasion.
Barrie Oldridge, store manager, has been working at Cadbury World for three decades.
Ahead of the new store opening, he said: “The time working at the Cadbury World shop has flown by, and it certainly doesn’t feel like almost 30 years - more like 10!
“My favourite thing about the job is meeting all the visitors, who share a love of chocolate with me, whether they travel from down the road or different corners of the world - on occasion I even get to practice my Español!
“Visitors often ask what my favourite products are, which having tried them all, is a big question!
“My top picks would have to be Picnic and Starbar, however, the new product launches every year mean the top spot is always highly disputed.
“The Cadbury World chocolatiers’ personalised products are also spectacular.
“Cadbury World is always full of fun but particularly at this time of year it really feels extra magical.
“I can’t wait to see our guests enjoy the attraction and experience our brand-new shop!”
