WORDSLEY is getting set to host its second annual Christmas lights switch on event.
The village hosted a festive fun event in 2023 for the first time, which was attended by hundreds of people, and it’s hoped this year’s will be even better.
Councillor Kerry Lewis, The Friends of Wordsley Parks, The Old Cat Pub, and Thomas Jones Fair have teamed up to organise the event which will take place on Saturday November 30 at Wordsley Green, from 4pm to 7pm.
Black Country Radio will be hosting entertainment which will include performances from a variety of local artists including the choir from Belle-Vue Primary School.
Businesses will be staying open late for shopping, and there will be Christmas stalls selling handmade gifts, stocking fillers and winter food and drinks.
Santa will also be in his grotto, with tickets available to buy from www.ticketsource.co.uk/santasgrottowordsley2024 Holy Trinity Church Wordsley will also be hosting its Christmas Tree Festival from 10am to 5pm.
