A GRADE II listed Stourbridge hotel has been sold to new owners after "considerable interest."
The Talbot Hotel on High Street has been bought by Rosevine Ltd, an "experienced hospitality operator based in Birmingham."
Commenting on the acquisition, the new owner said in a statement: “The Talbot Hotel’s longevity and central location in the town, and potential for growth made it an exciting addition to our portfolio."
They said they were pleased to be "taking the reins of such an iconic property in Stourbridge, building on the hard work that’s already been done.”
The Talbot's new manager is Yasan Hussain.
The hotel is operating its bar and accommodation, but not its restaurant as yet.
Josh Sullivan, associate director in Colliers’ Hotels Agency team, handled the sale.
He said: “The process was handled on an off-market basis, and we received significant interest from several operators.
"The Talbot offered a large quantum of bedrooms in a compelling trading location at a sensible price point.
"Despite the economic headwinds, we are continuing to witness strong demand for large provincial hotels, particularly in the Midlands, due to the dearth of opportunities."
Colliers said the sale comes after the Talbot has had a major refurbishment and had experienced "strong business growth."
Former owner Westbourne Leisure sold the hotel which dates back to the 1630s and is in a prime position in the High Street.
The property, featuring 57 en-suite rooms that were recently refurbished, boasts a restaurant as well as a large ballroom ideal for hosting events.
A release from Colliers states that "The hotel reopened in the summer of 2023 following an extensive refurbishment and has seen steady improvement in its business performance month on month.
"Serving both corporate and leisure guests offering a high-quality experience to its customers."
Edgbaston-based Rosevine Services Ltd is owned by businessman Kuljinder Singh Pahal.
