Up to two hours of delays could be expected along a busy road in Dudley.
Transport and Highways Services at Dudley Council have confirmed that delays are expected due to a broken down vehicle on Salop Street Island.
The vehicle has broken down immediately at the junction of Himley Road.
Work is underway to recover the vehicle but due to having limited access, the recovery is likely to take one to two hours.
A spokesperson for the Transport and Highways Services said: "Please be aware that a vehicle has broken down on Salop Street Island, Dudley, immediately at the junction of Himley Road (B4176 / B4558).
"Works to recover the vehicle are underway, however access around this vehicle is limited due to the occupancy required of both the lane and the island for recovery.
"Therefore, considerable delays in this area are likely over the next one to two hours."
Drivers are being advised to use alternative routes where possible.
