A FIRE broke out in a kitchen at a Stourbridge property yesterday, prompting the call out of the fire service.
The incident, involving a cooker, happened just after 3pm in Hungary Hill.
Crews from Stourbridge and Brierley Hill attended and managed to confine the flames to the kitchen and luckily no one was injured.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Fire Service said: “Shortly after 3.05pm on Wednesday November 27, we responded to Hungary Hill, Stourbridge.
“Two fire engines responded, crewed by firefighters from Brierley Hill and Stourbridge. The first crew arrived at the scene within three minutes of being mobilised.
“This was a fire in a ground-floor kitchen involving a cooker. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire, which was confined to the room of origin.
“Everyone had left the property prior to our arrival. There were no injuries.
“We left the scene at 3.36pm.”
