A man has died following a collision between a motorbike and a van in the West Midlands.
West Midlands Ambulance Service said it was called to Water Orton Road in Castle Bromwich at around 2.09pm yesterday (Thursday, November 28).
Two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the West Midlands Care Team and the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
On arrival, the crews discovered a man in a critical condition and started administering advanced life support.
Despite their best efforts, it became apparent that nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "Crews arrived to discover one patient, a man, in a critical condition.
"He was already receiving basic life support from bystanders before ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support.
"However, despite everyone’s best efforts it sadly became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene."
